In Madison, GA

Right after our start today we crossed the Oconee National Forest. A few miles later, we arrived in Madison. That was just a few minutes ago.

This is a nice city, with a beautiful historic district. There are several shops and coffee shops and stores well decorated, and the streets are clean and full of trees. They also have giant houses round here, I guess this is a rich place for the most part.

From here we'll move along and try to reach a park about 35 miles ahead for camping. The road has been very, very difficult to ride on. Too much elevation! It seems there is not a single feet of plain soil around here... we are always either going up or down a hill... that makes each mile much harder to cover.

If we can't make to the park, we might have to stop somewhere else, not sure where yet.

At least just one dog chased us today.,. not bad for a full 4 hours of riding.
