No 3G here...

It's been impossible to post pictures, etc... We have close to no coverage here.

We're now just 27 miles from the grand canyon. When we arrive ww will a look for a place to camp. Tomorrow hopefully I'll find a wifi where I can update the blog and let you guys know everything that is going on.

Thanks for your patience!

Pause for sneaker!

On our way to Grand Canyon!

We're leaving Flagstaff now and are on our way to the Grand Canyon!

It will be close to 90 miles of UPS and downs but it road is beautiful and we hope to get there before dusk.

Tonight will just set our tents and sleep, then tomorrow we will go out to explore the area.

The plan is to spend the day in the Grand Canyon, then watch the sunset and after that ride our bikes back to Williams, AZ. We will probably arrive in Williams around 2:30 in the morning so on the next day will ride a short stretch of 40 miles to a city called Seligman, still in Arizona. That day we will attempt to sleep around 4 pm and then wake up at 3 am to ride at night to the next city called Kingsman.

But that's in two days. Today we'll concentrate infinishing these 90 miles to the canyon.

Cheers,
Eduardo

No internet again :/

One more time we don't have connection in the hotel to make the major updates in the site.

We'll shoot for tomorrow... Sorry about that!!

A nice moment

My uncle talking to his friend Luis on his phone. =)

Arrived in Flagstaff, AZ!

This day was real hard and it took us much longer to get here than we forecasted. As a result we ended up changing our plans a little and will stay here tonight.

Right now I'm waiting my uncle make some purchases in Walmart and then we gonna look for a hotel. Hopefully this next hotel have internet so I can update the daily summaries. =)

We will also give more details on our change of plans and post an updated progress map.

The desert is tough today

We're having a hardcore ride on this hot and dry place. Right now we're at a gas station 15 miles before Flagstaff, AZ.

We eat a sandwich each and had some chocolate milk, now we're ready to return to the road.

It's a hot day

Today we're facing some high temperatures. We've pulled over into a rest area to recover.

There is a Subway restaurant about 5 miles from here, so we'll stop there and have lunch.

Arrived in Winslow!

This is a small city, but has a Walmart and a few hotels to choose from.

My uncle bought some food and we eat a sandwich in a local Subway.

We'll now look for a cheap hotel with WiFi so we can post some more daily summaries!

We'll also discuss our route for the next three days which will include camping at the Grand Canyon. As soon as we decide what to do I'll post it here!

Today we're going to Winslow, AZ

We're now getting water and preparing to departure..
Vsry high temperature already!!

In the streets of Gallup, NM

Nice little Indian city!

Ready to departure

One more windy day ahead of us! Today there is a wind advisory from 1 pm to 8 pm, with forecasted West winds (against us) ranging from 25 to 50 mph.

We're taking 6.5 liters of water total with us as it seems there are no gas stations on the way, just plain desert. We're carrying food as well.

It will be hard to keep the bicycle going straight with winds at theae speeds... We'll see how it goes, the next hotel is located 51 miles ahead.

Car museum in Santa Rosa

Seems nice, it's a shame we don't have time to go in.

Starting a new day

Today we need to go from Santa Rosa to Albuquerque, which is an about 100 miles course.

Yesterday we got one more flat tire and now have no spare new tubes... so far we couldn't find a new tube for our wheel size in this city.

Hopefully we won't have another flat on the road, else we'll be im big trouble. There nothing around here.

Almost there

We're about 18 miles from our destination, Santa Rosa, NM!

The place we're at right now is called Newkirk, NM.

Back on the road

Today will be easy, just 60 miles with low to no East winds.

Correct tire pressure

We finally found a place to put the 95 psi we needed on our new tires. Now they're flying!! =)
